Val di Fassa joins the World Cup elite: two-day racing and Enduro Open entries open on March 31
28 March 2025The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series returns to Trentino with a unique program: a two-day World Cup challenge and the Enduro Open amateur race. Registration for the Open is already open.

Val di Fassa reaffirms its role on the international scene by hosting the fifth round of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025. For the first time ever, the Trentino stop of an Enduro World Cup will take place over two full race days, with different special stages on Saturday and Sunday—bringing enduro back to a more authentic, demanding, and spectacular format.
Along with Pietra Ligure (Italy) and Morillon (France), Val di Fassa is one of three venues selected for the new extended format. The other stages—Bielsko-Biała (Poland), Loudenvielle-Peyragudes (France), Saalfelden Leogang (Austria), and La Thuile (Italy)—will maintain the classic single-day format.
The World Cup race program in Val di Fassa will follow this two-day structure:
📍 Thursday – Special stage reconnaissance for Day 2
📍 Friday – Special stage reconnaissance for Day 1
📍 Saturday – Race, Day 1
📍 Sunday – Race, Day 2

A precedent that set the standard
This isn’t the first time Val di Fassa has embraced an extraordinary challenge. In 2021, the organizing committee pulled off something truly unique in the mountain biking world: the valley hosted two back-to-back rounds of the Enduro World Series, the first two races of the season, held without interruption.
It was an unprecedented commitment: two sessions of practice runs, two distinct racecourses, and two full competitions managed within just a few days. A demanding logistical and organizational experience that created valuable know-how—now ready to be applied again in 2025.
“In 2021 we pulled off something no one else had ever done: two EWS races back-to-back, two completely different tracks, double the work and attention,” says William Basilico, head of the organizing committee.
“It was a massive challenge, but it taught us a lot. Today, with the experience we gained and an even stronger team, we’re ready to bring back a two-day enduro weekend with the same energy and passion.”

Enduro Open: the chance to experience the World Cup as a rider
The weekend also welcomes amateur riders thanks to the Enduro Open, a competition dedicated to passionate bikers, with separate categories for both traditional mountain bikes and E-bikes. Registration opened on Monday and has already seen an enthusiastic response: the desire to race in the Dolomites is stronger than ever, and Val di Fassa remains one of the most sought-after destinations.
Only 400 spots are available for those ready to experience an intense day, raced all in one breath, filled with adrenaline, technical sections, and breathtaking scenery.
Enduro Open categories include eight groups:
