WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2026 Calendar Unveiled
18 September 2025
Val di Fassa joins the 2031 UCI Cycling World Championships!
7 October 2025Even a race can leave only good traces.

During the 2025 edition of our bike event in Val di Fassa, we proudly joined the international TFT Approved program promoted by Trash Free Trails, with the goal of measuring our environmental impact and actively protecting our trails.
The result? A well-managed event with minimal waste generation.
This is not a slogan: after three full days of racing, activities, and thousands of participants, only 3 pieces of single-use plastic were collected along the trails.
The rest of the event area – from the finish zone to the spectator points – remained just as clean as it was before.
A Team Effort
Working side by side with the Trash Free Trails team, we ensured:
- On-site presence with pre- and post-race trail cleans
- Active communication on sustainability and impact reduction
- Involvement of local vendors, focused on compostable materials
- Responsible waste management with clearly marked disposal points
- Reusable cups at the bar and accessible water stations
- No single-use plastic prizes
- Athlete packs in biodegradable bags made from leaves
But most importantly, athletes, spectators, staff and volunteers played a key role.
They didn’t just avoid littering – many spontaneously joined cleanup actions and awareness efforts.
Looking Ahead to a More Sustainable 2026
The feedback from Trash Free Trails was extremely positive, but we know there’s room for improvement. That’s why we’re already working on new actions for the 2026 edition:
- Giving more visibility to our Trash Free commitment: on the website, in athlete briefings, and along the venue
- Enhance directional signage towards waste disposal and recycling points, and improve the visibility of the stations themselves.
- Activating educational content for spectators during the event
Sustainability isn’t a destination – it’s a shared journey.
In 2026, we’ll be back on the trails, more aware and more determined than ever to make our race a true model of sport and respect for the mountains.
