Val di Fassa unveils the courses of the 2025 UCI Enduro World Cup and Enduro Open
18 June 2025In Trentino’s Tourism Showcase, Val di Sole and Val di Fassa present two back-to-back weekends of world-class mountain biking action.

Over two consecutive weeks, the province of Trento will host an exceptional showcase of adrenaline-fueled racing, as Val di Sole and Val di Fassa take the spotlight in the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. All four formats of the series will be represented across two destinations with a proven pedigree in top-level off-road competition.
Not by chance, in 2024 Val di Fassa hosted the first-ever UCI Enduro World Championships, while in 2026 Val di Sole will welcome the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the fourth time, hosting the Downhill and Cross-Country formats. That same season, Trentino will also host the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships in San Martino di Castrozza.
These major events add to one of the world’s most respected cycling systems, combining technical infrastructure, stunning natural landscapes, and proven organizational expertise. Road cycling has also found fertile ground here, with the Tour of the Alps and Giro d’Italia regularly delivering thrilling action on Trentino’s iconic roads.

WHOOP UCI Enduro World Cup returns to Val di Fassa – June 27–29, 2025
From June 27 to 29, 2025, Canazei and the Dolomites of Val di Fassa will host the fifth round of the WHOOP UCI Enduro World Cup – one of the top-tier events on the global mountain bike calendar.
The race will bring the world’s best enduro athletes back to Trentino for a two-day elite competition. On Saturday, June 28, amateur riders will also have the opportunity to take part in the Enduro Open, tackling the same course as the pros.
During the press conference, Val di Fassa highlighted its long-term journey as a leading enduro destination – the result of a ten-year strategy that has used sporting events as a catalyst for local development.
Val di Fassa: Ten years of elite enduro, a model of growth and vision for Trentino
Gianni Rasom, Vice President of the Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi organization, emphasized how since 2023 the project has been managed by a dedicated body established by the local tourism board in partnership with ski lift consortia (Fassa/Carezza and Alpe Lusia/San Pellegrino) and local sport associations.

This collaborative effort has ensured long-term continuity and strategic vision, beginning in 2015 with the Italian National Championships, followed by rounds of the Enduro World Series, the UCI World Cup, and culminating in the 2024 UCI Enduro and E-Enduro World Championships. The journey continues in 2025 with another WHOOP UCI Enduro World Cup round – a new test for a destination that has made enduro a key part of its tourism, sports, and identity offering.
“It’s not just about trophies and titles,” said Rasom. “It’s about building something lasting. Every event has left a legacy: skills, infrastructure, media attention – and above all, a stronger, more engaged local community, thanks to the collaboration between volunteers, operators, and institutions.”
Tourism development as a legacy of sport

Nicolò Weiss, Director of the Val di Fassa Tourism Board, underlined how the region’s tourism system has grown alongside its commitment to hosting major events. “In ten years of international racing, both the sport and our offering have evolved. Trails are better maintained, hospitality is more bike-friendly, rental and service options have expanded, and we’ve recently joined the Gravity Card network – all signs of collective and consistent work.”
This forward-looking approach has made Val di Fassa not just a race venue, but a complete and internationally recognized bike destination, aligned with Trentino’s identity as an authentic land to experience with care and intensity.
Enduro for everyone: real sport, real experiences

Race Director William Basilico presented the 2025 World Cup format, which returns to the core values of the discipline: two days of elite competition, authentic transfers, natural trail interpretation, and an amateur race – the Enduro Open – giving everyone the chance to ride the same tracks as the pros.
“Enduro is about exploration, effort, adrenaline – but most of all, sharing,” said Basilico. “In Val di Fassa, even amateur riders walk away with a true experience. It’s a physical, raw, and meaningful way to discover the mountains.”
A race that delivers real value
Val di Fassa reaffirmed its commitment to hosting events not as showcases, but as strategic investments in long-term territorial value. In line with Trentino’s brand as a land to discover rather than consume, mountain bike events here are designed to tell stories, create experiences, and build shared opportunities for growth.
