Ride on, even during World Cup week: here are the open trails in the Fassa Bike District
21 June 2025Two formats, one spirit: real enduro in the heart of the Dolomites

Just days before the race kicks off, the World Series reveals the official courses of the WHOOP UCI Enduro World Cup 2025 Val di Fassa – Trentino. Two distinct routes – one for the two-day UCI World Cup, the other for the single-day Enduro Open competition (MTB and E-bike) – designed by the Fassa Bike District team to properly celebrate a decade of enduro racing in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The weekend of June 27–29 marks a special anniversary: exactly ten years ago, in 2015, Val di Fassa hosted the Italian Enduro National Championships. Since then, it’s been a steady climb leading to the 2024 UCI World Cup, and today the celebration continues with an event that looks to the future while staying rooted in the discipline’s heritage.
The 2025 format is pure enduro: demanding transfers, long and technical special stages, thrilling descents, and a strategic use of the lift system to emphasize the vertical drop. There are no shortcuts on this course, and the finale is designed to leave its mark – the final stage ends in the heart of the event village, surrounded by fans, music, and the roaring embrace of the crowd at the finish line.
As per tradition, the course announcement takes place shortly before race week, but this year it was brought forward to Wednesday to give the Local Organizing Committee and trailbuilders more time to fine-tune the track. A small detail that says a lot about the level of commitment required for this event: kilometers of trail, fresh lines and iconic returns – like the legendary “9.90” reopening after years of closure, the brand-new “Pecedac” near Lupo Bianco, and the long-awaited new upper section of Titans.
Thursday evening, June 26, marks the official opening of the event with a show in the heart of Canazei. Starting at 6:00 PM in the Town Hall Square, spectators can enjoy a Bike Trial Show by the Bikeflip team, followed by the official rider presentation for the WHOOP UCI Enduro World Cup.
But the stage won’t be reserved for pro athletes only: two Enduro Open riders will also be called up, randomly selected to join the show. A symbolic, yet powerful gesture.
“Enduro was born from the connection between pros and amateurs,” says Race Director William Basilico.
“Today we’re racing at World Cup level, but we want every rider – whether on stage or on the trail – to feel part of this incredible journey.”
